New York–based performer Alicia Rau, successful freelance musician & teaching artist, has worked with an array of entertainers, including Denis Leary, Jimmy Fallon, John Mayer, Michael J. Fox, SNL’s Ana Gasteyer, Grammy-winner Lucy Kalantari, the Diva Jazz Orchestra, The Bogmen, and Gordon Gano of the Violent Femmes. Rau has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Anthropology from the University of Iowa, including a semester abroad in Senegal, and has collaborated extensively with the Brooklyn Conservatory, Medgar Evers College, and the New York Public School System.
